I know this sounds insensitive,but since everything is destroyed,maybe you should think about moving your towns,homes,inland. Nature is going to have its way,there will be more storms.I think it will show good sense and good planning, but it isn't my home and I don't know what you would be giving up.Alot of the survivors of Katrina haven't been able to go home after 5 yrs. What has happened to the people there who rent a home and its destroyed?My sympathy goes out to the renters,can't rebuild.

to me australia is just sunny, nothing more and nothing less is that true or just our perception, waas it a freak storm or does it flood everyyear but just not as bad?

wow. your really hating on australia? australia / Queensland has been thru so much these past two months. lives have been lost, homes , streets & national landmareks have been destroyed. id like to see you go thru all that & still keep strong & positive. Queensland is a beautiful place & to see my home get ripped apart again is just horrifying. honestly you see your home get ripped apart & now dissed. see how you feel.
