This is the first time Perfect Circle was ever performed live, with a drum machine and casio.

  • This is amazing! Thanks a lot for uploading!

  • I'm asking for a time machine for Christmas. First stop...any R.E.M. gig between '80-'85.

  • @REMchout jeah u r absoletly right haha..;o)))

  • Who knew their best ballad would originate from a drum machine jam session?

  • i have got to say this is the worst version of perfect circle i have hear,im a big rem fan back to the 80s,this is awful!!!

  • Very nice. It's interesting that in this song the vocals are already worked out, but the drums and guitar still evolved. Usually it seems that the vocals are the last thing to fill out with REM.

  • Holy Crap. I stumbled on this video looking for something else. I was at this show in Marrietta, Ga. The girls there were crying after the show because they liked the singing so much.

  • What a neat glimpse into the history of a terrific song.
