Unless it can be shown how it compliments or is complimented by another indicator, this video is not useful. The examples are cherry-picked and therefore worthless. Try using an histogram of 50-CCI and when the 14-CCI makes a reversal at the -150 if the 50-CCI is in positive territory and your EMAs are confirming trend, then make your long position.

@lynxlea, not a problem, but you have to remember that a large number of traders look at indicators in slightly different ways. Different interpretations or even a different slant on how they are used. This has been happening for years and will continue to do so as traders look for that edge.

jdrower, thanks for the comment. I probably didn't explain myself fully. These videos on the short time frame like the 5 min charts, are mainly just done to show how a particular indicator may help a trader. Ideally, as you stated, you would use this indicator as a part of an overall strategy. I will check out what you suggested. Cheers.

Nice Vid. Your explanation of the CCI is the easiest one I have come across. Simple and straight to the point. The pronunciation of the "lag" indicator is "lagwa" (same as the american pronunciation of jaguar).
