Who cares Robby. Wisconsin is still a Wisconsin and Ford is always going to be a Ford.

I have one just like it in the shop. It came off a hay baler we used to have. It runs. But I had to take the head off and un-stick the valves. We also have a 2 cylinder Wisconsin air cooled that did the same.

I have a 1953 V4, do they have soft seats, so as I would have to run leaded fuel (or a lead substitute?)

@josh216882000 I have a similar Wisconsin motor on an old welder that I recently acquired. I'm going to have to either fix or eliminate the clutch though. I think that yours may have a Rockford clutch with gear reduction. Mine is just a straight through design. Little five-inch disc. Love the sound. I think you may have carb issues though. The gasket that seals the float bowl to the throttle body can be a problem. It'll deteriorate right at the center and leak air into the fuel circuit.

put it on a gokart

Reminds me of the engine on an old car frame my cousins used to ride around... It too was a V-4, reportedly off an old bail wagon.

love it i want to see it running in time

Hey I did not resort to name calling. And by definition, an engine block contains the cylinders, which on the Wisconsin are bolted to the crankcase. From Websters Dictionary, Engine Block; "The metal casting in which the cylinder and crankshaft are housed". Hence forth why it is referred to as a multi-piece block vs. a mono-block design.
In the Wisconsin Instruction Book and Parts List refer to the "block" as the cylinders, crankcase and the "crank base", which are bolted to each other.

the "crankcase" is the block dumbass.
I take it that lever on the housing is for some sort of clutch?

Yea, the clutch is in the housing that the lever is attached to. If you look close, you can seen the big 4V pulley on the output side of the PTO which use to run the belts for a waterpump on a cranberry bog.
