the music doesn't seem to be played by this guy in the video cause the sound and meends don't match his fingerings. :) LOL that's something. is it really this guy? if so why doesn't it match? :)

and also sound smoother than usual violin.

This is played like the sarangi so you might be reffering to sarangi. Look up Ustad Sultan Khan.
