My first time showing jumpers with Matinee. We had some mistakes that were mostly my fault and I know what I need to fix on myself and am working on it. Correction: the first 2 rounds are only 2ft, not 2'3". Enjoy!!

You dont just have to get over the jump. You have to make sure you're looking, make sure you're going to get the right stride, make sure you dont get left on a weird distance, make sure your horse is collected, etc. But you rode the course really well :) RHSC is so scary...I mena some of those people are just riding dangerously. Some of these people are totally lacking basic skills...UGH! Scarryyy. haha but you did awesome

It's Better Than Me by Hinder. And it was harder than I thought. As a hunter you have so many things drilled in your head (don't cut corners, always look pretty, keep a consistent pace, etc.) and in jumpers you do almost the exact opposite. All you have to do is get over the jump. So it was interesting lol.

I completaly agree. And i aplaud you for trying to stay in touch with them to. Sadly enough alot of people once they sell their horse dont care what happends to them afterwards.

How does it feel changing your style. Seems like youre getting more used to her now. Eventhough ill miss king i loved that horse i took a liking to matinee the first time i saw you two ride.

It's actually alot harder than I thought it would be. Doing hunters for so long, it was pounded into my head to half-seat and go all the way to the rail, now I'm supposed to site down and cut corners. But I love it. I actually went and saw King compete at a show recently and he's looking great! It's nice to know someone liked him though!! ANd Matinee, thanks!

Aw yes i used to comment on your older clips with him to. Thats great you saw him. Do you know the new owners or was it just a coicidence.

We've kept in touch with them since the sale and so we went to see him at a show.

Aw thats great. Its nice to keep in touch and follow up on him. Doesnt it feel weird though seeing someone else ride him still it must be such a reasurance to see him and see he is well and healthy and happy right must be fun cheering him on to.

It is really hard to watch someone else work with him. Really hard, but he looks happy and healthy and to me that's all that matters.
