A detailed beekeeping tutorial on the inside of an Apimaye Thermo Hive.

The video takes you within the Apimaye Thermo Hive, a cutting-edge, purpose built new hive design.

The sides of the Thermo Hive are made from a moulded double walled system, which has had insulation injected into it to provide insulation. It has been tested in various areas and works incredibly well at both high and low temperature ranges. It has also been designed to provide air circulation to prevent mould and condensation - this helps to prevent bees swarming, weakening and even the death of colonies.

  • Those frames might be nice for cut outs. Cut the comb to size, put it in between the two halves, and push it together then snap it tight.

Really nice design BUT, at $464.31, per deep, I'm going to have to stick to my ragged old wood boxes. I love the smell of wood.

  • yeah ok if you want a plastic future.

  • Unholy shit!

    Let the fire burning!

  • THE FUTURE IN PLASTIC... ? No thanks, no future here. Keep it NATURAL !

  • Not for me or my bees at all no way no thankyou

  • unless i get a testimonial about how good it really works i will think of it as a toy of some sort

  • haha echt te lelijk.. als ik een bij was, zou ik daar niet in willen wonen

  • LMAO a plastic bee hive, bet it says made in china on the base

  • What a waste of oil. Keeping bees should not involve some gimmicky tricked out hive. This set up is, at best fairly well engineered, but how long will it take to decompose after its life is used up in it's present state? Odds are over 1 million years. Think about that, if you are at all a supporter of nature, this product is one that should never be bought to start with. There are many good biodegradable ones on the market. This certainly sucks in my honest opinion.....

  • design 11/10 :D, materials 0/10, price 0/10 plastic use wont last in a commercial situation. wouldnt last 2 years in the australian sun

a complete hive is more than $800 dollars Australian plus shipping, more than double of any ready to go commercial hive, It is out of reach for you backyard hobbyist

In oz we manufacture UV stabilised plastic rainwater tanks that are given a 20 year guarantee

might i suggest a rethink of these issues ? because your CUTTING EDGE seems a little dull :(
