nice job.how much resistance do you think that adds

@BR0078 That's a tricky question. When the bar is motionless like at the bottom or at lockout, the weight added is a stable number, like say it adds 30# at the bottom and 150# at lockout. When the bar is in motion, however, the weight added fluctuates. Lifting it faster actually makes it lighter. It doesn't feel lighter, it IS lighter. This is due to the body's stretch reflex. If I were to slowly pull this weight I would have to work much harder than if I bolted it up.

nice pulling man! do you find the hook grip helps with the pull? i'm thinking about switching, haven't gone too heavy with it yet but my form feels tighter with a hook grip

If you don't mind investing the time, the hook grip is better. It just takes a little while to get used to it but eventually it's much better.

Strong grip! Does it help to have your heels close together? I was told that's how I should have my feet when I deadlift. The great Vince Anello lifted with his feet in that position.

I can't take credit on the grip strength, it's a hook grip I'm using. If you've decided to pull conventional style, it is better to keep your feet closer for the sake of not having to move your arms out. Your legs get in the way if you keep them a little wider and have your arms on the outside of your legs.
