Another lost version of this beautiful scene. ^__^ I think Mufasa's really kinda cool here, because he has a very gentle voice, as deep as it is, and carries a very fatherly tone to him.
I don't particularly like the part where they're playing, though. I think it's a little quiet, and lacks the feeling that the music calls for...
But still a good one. ^^
I love this version too. I see what you're saying about the playing part being too quiet. But it's still realy nice. It's so powerful when Mufasa gives the "Great Kings of the Past" speach.

Oooh, I do agree. I dunno if I'm weird for pointing out the little things, but I really like how he begins the speech at 2:08, with the way he says Simba's name with that sigh. I think it makes him seem so wise and thoughtful. ^^
