Short video, with high quality option, highlighting the re-enactment of an English Civil War battle, fought on 4th Nov. 1634 nr Olney, Buckinghamshire. The event celebrates the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the lives of those who "Fought and died for King and Parliament", inspired by Mr. Edward Ellis, of Emberton. The battle is re-enacted by the "Prince Rupert's Blew Regiment of Foote (Sealed Knot). More info about them can be found at www.princerupertsbluecoats.org.uk

  • Nice to see a unit of the Sk working as a unit of pike & musket, as well as bringing the drums into the mix.

    Not sure when this was filmed but a bit more practice with the preparative and march will get the regiment moving off as one without the need for the CO to shout march on - much more dignified you see ;-)
