In September of 2008, John Deere announced the closure of their plant in the small city of Welland Ontario. Being the oldest and last remaining major employer in a city suffering from a long history of industrial and manufacturing plant closures. Learn the stories of the workers involved while director Mark Lammert and the crew searches for answers in an attempt to discover if Welland can recover.

Spanning two countries, the film and its crew travel to other cities who have had to deal with economic struggle, from Windsor Ontario with the countries lowest employment rate, to Flint Michigan which suffered a serious blow when GM closed its doors in the 80's.
