I have heard of cases where people do break into a woman's home and make themselves at home. Maybe they rifle through her personal belongings and then her undergarments. Theresa could have surprised the person or the person could have decided to elevate their level of crime by assaulting her. In all likelihood it is someone who she knew or someone who knew someone she knew. So sad. Her parents and friends are so loving and I'm sure she was too.

@H0tkebab I don't ever hate humanity. I am frightened and disappointed by, and sometimes feel despair in humanity. But I feel like it's very wrong to despair so, I do my best to stop that despair if I can.
However, I completely identify with every other sentiment you expressed. And It is so very painful!
I'm comforted by the hope that if we keep working on ourselves, we can be good examples for others, and maybe one day the abuse that causes people to do such evil will stop forever...

Because of things like this, I sometimes hate humanity and yet there is a part of me that wishes I could protect it. A part of me asks "What would of happened If I were there with the victim? Could all of this been prevented?" Its frustrating being a spectator of life only being able to watch events unfold on the television or in the news. I hate not being able to do anything about it, it sucks.
