I have posted the only two digital clips I have from this concert, which I attended as an audience member in 1983. The rest of the show I have only on a NTSC Beta Video taped off TV in 1984. I also have a VHS PAL copy of CHRIS DE BURGH: THE VIDEO, but alas no PAL VHS player. If I ever manage to get it converted to DVD then I will post more... :-) Till then hope you enjoy these...

@harveyderf : those senior citizens were his bread and butter, so de burgh is not only street smart, but savvy like a door to door salesman. legend as it that my friend's grandma once rode the de burgh rodeo (in a jeffrey induced haze) and would still talk about it even as advanced dementia shattered other less vivid memories. word is that she had been with at least 8 men before she got married. back then, that was a lot, almost like 100! but de burgh is ALL man and would equal at least 16 1/2.

and i in you Jason, I in you. We must swap PMs and see if we ever crossed paths on the De Burgh scene. But back to the the art. Yes yes, De Burgh did what Reed has been trying to do for decades by appealing to both seamlessly. Only now has Lou Reed has made that crossover albeit through a intermediary in Susan Boyle. A real artist like De Burgh never had to resort to such methods in order to get the tales of his jeffried out street existence to the senior citizens. Reed could only follow.
