I was Raised On The Mighty Mo & Mr. Van Camps Lovely Artistry Of Music. This Was When Atlanta Was A "Grand Ole Lady" Instead Of The Hood Now. Sad, Nothing Lasts Forever.
Bob Van Camp was a gentleman and a true showman musician! He was also the volunteer M.C. for the DeKalb Youth Symphony Orchestra back in the 70's -- I remember being astonished at that during the first performance I participated in. He struck up a conversation with several of us teens, asking how we got started, et cetera. When I mentioned my first instrument was Theatre Organ, not Viola, he promptly invited me to come on an "off day" and play the Mighty Mo!
Lovely sound! Haven't heard that track since I was a kid and just starting to play organ. It must have impressed me and stuck in my mind somehow, as I recorded this track many, many years later and I can hear some similarities!

PS Unless Mighty Mo's manuals started on B instead of C, the photo is reversed!
I have heard of Bob Van Camp but I must say that I was very surprised to hear just how well he played. Not an easy instrument to get around either I gather.
I knew Bob Van Camp. In fact, I knew most if not all the theatre pipe organ people there in the early 80s. It was so much fun to go to Walt Winn's warehouse and spend the evening listening to Bob play the Page. Worth every moment. Bob was a standard by which many others were measured.

If you flip a photo horizontally of a 61 note organ manual
it looks like you start at E and end at E
However the photo is flipped horizontally
