Well, if you read the teachings of Christ in the New Testament (which I suppose you haven't due to this question), pedophilia, especially within the Church, is an abomination. Pure evil. Everyone is human, and according to Genesis of the Bible, all humans have the capacity to become evil in their actions. No one is immune, especially not priests. Evil infiltrated the Church since the beginning, in order to destroy it.
