  • I don't think many people in Ireland know how connected we are to this lovely place. I'd love to go at some stage.

  • @riastrad Yea maybe but probably as time went on and the British became more opposed to slavery as wel that being of white skin they were intergrated into society. I doubt much irish survived the climate anyway. most irish were half starving at the time of deportation and with out things such as sun cream etc they probably got heat stroke. whos know! hardly any records kept to know what really happened with the irish. they were regarding as less worth than black slaves

  • @Doolstar1 That's what I thought as well?! Maybe we were regarded as masters by the african slaves because we had a greater degree of freedom on the island? Maybe even land rights? I dunno...

  • @3:16. Irish masters??????

  • I think the historical facts are not fully correct. Irish People were sent there as Slaves and indentured servants I doubt very much they were Slave Masters! But I am thoroughly enjoying this mini film! It was actually the Irish which encouraged the African Slaves to Revolt in 1798!

  • Im bringing over a traditional irish band for St Patrciks day and we can combine dat music with the steel band music, the carib with the guiness, the rum with the whiskey!!!!

  • great video mate. im loving the Carib slant on "Dublin in the rare 'auld times" at the end there! I was in Sint Maarten for the last 2 St Patricks days, I wish I had gone over to Monserat, someday I will.

  • You all look lovely in green
