Also see the 5 short igloo videos titled "Igloo Demonstration Best 01-16-09 (1)". I utilized the igloo design from the following site: http://www.architectureweek.com/2007/1212/building_1-1.html but building an igloo when an abundance of cuttable snow-pack is not available is very difficult. I essentially built an ICE igloo. I compacted each block using whatever type of snow was available. The design on the aforementioned website is critical. My igloo has survived 2 major warm-ups and accompanying significant rain storms. It is strong enough for the kids (and me at 220 lbs) to climb all over it. Check it out. I lost 10 pounds building, maintaining, re-building, and modifying it but it has been well worth it. Traverse City, Michigan USA January 2009
