I thought I'd try to apply the Russell Harty performance to the full length version. The 1975 Russell Harty performance was three and a half minutes worth. How Does It Feel is an epic and to edit it should be a criminal offence. Still, here's the full six minutes and it turned out quite well, I thought? ;-)

  • I just watched a clip of this on what I can only imagine was TOTP's from 73. You're right, editing this song WAS a crime. It's like editing "Hey Jude" down to 3:30.

  • Thanks for the props guys, it makes the effort worthwhile. ;-)

  • Nicely done Mickey, been working a few projects myself.

  • Thanks Dave, I'm getting better on that Vegas. ;-)

  • This is a very sophisticated melody performed by a grossly underrated band.

  • Good capture of a great song

  • Excellent job, you've done justice to an absolute epic from a SERIOUSLY good band. If Noddy's voice fails to give you goosebumps then you're never going to get them. Cheers and thanks.

  • Fantastic job. Classic song.

  • This was by far the best Slade recorded, which will stand the test of time forever.

Slade were my first music idols after seeing them twice when i lived in Adelaide, Australia in 1972 & 73 as a 14/15 year old, my very first concerts that i attended.

Thanks for the great memories lads.

  • @SeventiesMania Nah, it would have been Jim and Don in the pigeon coop wouldn't it? Cause at the start of the film, Noddy was still leader of the rival group...

  • In the film, wasn't this the opening scene where Jim Lea is walking through the grim streets of some unnamed Midlands town and ends up in, I think, a pigeon coop with Noddy?... I need to watch the film again, not seen it for ages.

  • your a clever ickle boy Mickey

  • brilliant song by a brilliant band, only beaten by the classic far far away.

  • i love this slade were the dogs bollocks !!!!!
