The soap maker featured in this video is Mickey Dye-Ishikawa of Asheville "North Carolina". Mickey has been working in the "health food" industry for 12 years, and has been making artisan handmade soaps for the past 4 years or more!

Can you tell us the ratios for the ingredients? Also, is there a difference between liquid glycerin and the solid ones you have in your video?

There is a difference between the liquid and solid. I don't give the ratio's,sorry. Just experiment with your own tastes, it's fun.

why do you make the base first, let it harden and then remelt it to add the other ingredients? Could you do everything in one sitting? Btw your soaps looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@natalytea Actually it is because I make 18 different scents and to pour in small batches like I do, I make the base in 20lb. batches and work the smaller ones from that.

Don't tell my boss that I said this, but I listened very closely to what this lady said. I work for a number of cosmetic companies, and this lady has basically got it all worked out. She knows her stuff. In theory, she could rival the thinking of any famous quality brand. May she have great success - she deserves it.

@SweetmadeCosmetics that makes sense! I was wondering how it turned into soap!! it looks so luxurious and decandent... I wouldn't just want to use her soaps to clean my skin but rest in that soapy water as well.
