Funny ass kno3 rocket test

This is a sugar rocket I made. Its like 200g, the nozzel blew out after about 2 senconds cuz the kitty litter sucks ass under so much pressure, otherwise it would have burner for another 6 to 8 secs. This is a smaller scale test engine test engine for the 4.5' rocket I'm building, check out those vids too. This was furious! So loud! My wild ass hippie neighbor was there for commentary who sounds like Dane Cook, ha.

It was a good as test but I need to devise a better nozzel for the next one.

Enjoy. And yes, this was just KNO3 and sugar, un-cooked, powder mix, no binder, no catalyst.

ever thought about maybe electrical ignition so you dont blow your face off? get some nichrome wire, melt a pingpong ball in acetone, dip wire, tack, dip in black powder, repeat, dry. there you go, proper ignitors

What was the ratio? I try KNO3-Sugar-Aluminium propellants, and they just won´t work. But yours is burning very quickly, so what ratio was that???

@discomotorbikeman most people look up the ratios before they actually build a rocket... It is 35% sugar, 65% kno3. (11 grams, 20 grams).
