Do Coke ads tell you how delicious Coke is? They show kids sitting on rooftops, watching the sunrise with cans of Coke in hand. They build an association between a BRAND and a certain set of ideas. People accept this association and they *pay* to associate themselves with the brand. It's an odd bit of psychology, but it explains why most ads use slogans and images unrelated to products ("Just do it." "Invent." "I'm Lovin' it"). "Heinz" has off-beat, inventive wit. That's the point of a good ad.
