I'm Playing it here in A minor but its also play in E minor

    Hope this Helps!

    jim,,,

  • my daughter says: thank you it helped!

  • @PoirotAddict

I am so glad it helped - there are some more videos on my channel ,, top right ! '' LEARNER VID'S ''

IRISH MUSIC AND FIDDLE PLAYING ETC..

    jim,,,

  • That last roll sounded a note short, lol . But I find it harder not to put in a bow shake as well, which I learned from listening and watching the playing of Tommy Peoples.

At the start of that reel '' The Killarney boys of pleasure '' try to get them like that and you'll do fine !

    jim,,,

  • Hey Bro, whats the title of this tune?

  • @dimension910

  • @tempaccountzonea You'll find most of the decoration you want on Youtube. Just google search videos for fiddle & decoration. For tunes check places like abcnotation and conhaltasarchive.

Work slowly with a tune until you know it, then put in limited decoration so that you can still play it at speed without having to rush the notes.

More important that decoration is playing the right note, at the right time, with the right emphasis and lilt. No bum notes, and no notes played like a slurry.

  • Nice playing Jim.

  • Dear Sir,

In school I was taught how to play classical violin, so I dont know anything about Irish fiddle. You play wonderfully, and ever since I heard you play the Killarney boys of pleasure, it is all I want to learn.

I was wondering if you could please send a scanned sheet of the music marked with exactly how you play it - with finger rolls, trills, triplets, slurs, and all the rest of the ornaments, to my email address.

I can compensate you for your time. Do you have PayPal?

    Thank you

  • @fiddle4u

Are you sure? it doesnt sound how it looks..
