The Theory of Plate Tectonics holds that the Earth's land masses glide on plates. Aliens peering through telescopes at Earth over the long course of evolutionary time would have seen the continents moving around like puzzle pieces. The man who ventured this theory of plates, one of the boldest scientific calls of the 20th Century, was Alfred Wegener, a meteorologist-a weather man. Geologists laughed at Mr. Wegener's idea. Similarly, many academicians and Educators ignore the single Big idea that could change the Education world--I'm talking about Play.
