Ian Werner, looking so fabulous in green, plays on his practice chanter one of his favourite competition MSR's (March Strathspey Reel) consisting of the tunes "Dr. E. G. MacKinnon" (march) "Neil Sutherland of Lairg" (strathspey) and "John Morrison of Assynt House" (reel)

  • Svensk Piper, härligt :) Helt självlärd eller har du tagit några lektioner?

  • ian, i love the sets that you play *****. i need help choosing a reel for a local comp. the first two tunes are lord alexander kenedy, athol cummers and the the reel was going to be the smith of chillichassie but i think the i lose the expression of the tune please help =)

  • Ye look like a big green bug wi' them shades.

An' the hair! Are ye' plugged into the mains, or wha'?

Sure ye pipe well enough tho' ...

  • Technically excellent. Nitpicky bit: Overexpression is your downfall in this one (not seen any other MSRs you've done). Although the word 'round' is thought of as the devil by many in the piping world, MSRs should be ever so slightly rounded, since it should be a journey from beginning to end. At times you hit the spot with it, but at others you let tempo drag. Love the sound of your chanter. Very wholesome. Enjoyable performance and hope you'll take pointers into consideration for next vid.thx

  • I Love your embellishments! There so crisp and clear with the perfect amount of Low G

  • anyone know where to find the music to Dr.E.G. Mackinnon?

  • Where could you find the music to Neil southerland?

  • theres some good info on it here on youtube....it's a bitch to learn but it's not

    impossible.

    :o)good luck.

  • How long did it take you to get your darado strait clean and crisp
