@kravtsov2 This is just a local term "CRICK" only to the several fire companies along this little river. Thats where the term crick rats came from. The word is not being misspelled.

That is the color the membership picked way back in 1934. I think they choose that color from seeing Rouss Fire Company in Winchester, VA.

We are in the western part of Maryland. Allegany County on the border with Mineral County WV.
