  • IN TAEKWONDO ITS CALLED A TURNING KICK

  • Tell anyone in K1 they're wrong when they rotate 360. As Bruce Lee would say, nice dry land swimming here. Of course someone can counter it if executed improperly, but anything can be countered. If we limited ourselves to an offense that can't be countered, we'd be doing no offense at all.

The key to a full spinning roundhouse is if you see them move back early, abort rotation. If they dodge back last second, no way they can dart back in to counter. If you hit hard, they should fold.

  • if your a newbie you might get injured with rotations like that, but depending what type of technique your gone use and how much training you got you no longer think on how to place your leg or arms your body responds automaticly making you able to use the technique with the right way

  • @JazyGirl26 It's a traditional Kung Fu uniform, not pajamas

  • You can also continue spinning if someone is in front of you to generate power to a back kick... Its ok to turn your back to the opponent if your not a complete newbie :D

lol true. i don't see the point in teaching

rotation from the heal. it will just create

bad habits....or like you say, a busted

    ankle

  • ur totally correct about rotating on the ball of the foot :)

but keep in mind this man is only teaching for health benefits and for beginers..

but if u keep on practicing, the rotation will naturally come onto the ball of the foot, allowing u to kick faster and more accurately, resulting in more power...and if for sum reason it doesn't, then the final result will be a messed up ankle :)

  • i didn't say don't have your foot grounded. i said rotate on the ball of your foot. it is faster and doesn't give away your movement.

i am only speaking from my years of experience

Why don't you post a comment that is helpful next time instead of picking at other peoples comments.

I'm not posting this to be a dick, i'm giving my opinion, based on research of many styles...

  • you'll lose your balance if your foot is not grounded on the floor completely.

plz don't comment without any experience in martial arts..
