Black Crowes - She Talks to Angels - Acoustic Piano Cover

This song is important to me for two reasons. One, when I first bought my own personal stereo when I was 13 years old, this was the first song I played on it in Hi-Fi. It made me fall in love with music.

Second, the bonus track with Chuck Leavell banging the keys is what started my love for the piano. Eddie Harsch records with the Crowes then later on the Amorica album, and he's influenced me just as much. These dudes wrote the book on rock piano.

Note: The paper on the music stand simply has the lyrics for the song to give me an outline. Over some of the words, I wrote down a few notes with their alphabetic symbols to help. It appears to be in the key of E with 4 sharps, but D# is hardly ever played, if at all. I would say A, but probably not. The D natural is used as a type of color tone or blue note... as is G natural on occasion.

Thanks man! I started by putting very small portions of songs on repeat over and over until I could pick things out and play it. Try using some music editing software to splice very small portions, then put it on repeat on an ipod or computer or something. Then sit down and fiddle with the notes until you get it. Then move to the next part. If you practice enough, your ability to play by ear will improve dramatically.
