  • @marikuraba because, as I have a 2 year old neice, I know that Hiro was a japanese built engine that sat on a 3 ft 6 inch gauge, not 4 ft 8 and a half, care to go further

  • @danwarren97 Gentlemen, appreciate your fancy of such mechanical marvels. I have the highest respect for the people who have created these incredible machines and also the people who appreciates them. My 5 year old daughter loves trains and as kids normally do, they say what they feel.,,,, and for that, I apologise if she has offended anyone. But there's no need to be rude. I will take this as a lesson for her, for she is a child. That's her excuse. What's yours?

  • @marikuraba You poncey bastard you know nothing of the railway!!!

  • @marikuraba Seriously? That's an insult to Blue Peter and SNG.

  • @marikuraba Get out.

  • Why is Hiro towing Spencer??

  • Thompson was just jealous of gresley's success, and did what he could to ruin it.

  • What a piece of engineering!

  • Why does 60532 look like an A1? It was built to a Peppercorn design. Why do you think 60525 was named 'A.H. Peppercorn'? Thompson fiddled with the A2, creating 25 locos that spanned 2 sub classes (A2/2 and A2/3 - 60500-524) experimenting mainly with cylinder positioning. Peppercorn expanded the class with his own design which was far more simple, reliable and powerful (60525-539). From here he developed the A1. Thompson's A2s were utter garbage, Peppercorn's were one of the better British locos.

  • Thanks mate, great stuff!
