@hungrystudnet - From looking at your profile, it seems like you are a Filipino living in my country - the USA. That is good and fine. May I suggest that you return to your country and do something to actually help the people here who are in much need. I have been here many years helping the poor in many ways (not just preaching). I would encourage you to do the same thing.

If they perform the act "believing" that it is the proper way to show respect to elders than that is exactly what they are doing. It is the motivation rather than the act itself that is important! Speaking of respect, you could learn from these little ones!

Filipinos kiss the hands of their elders because they are stupid not to think that kissing hand or "mano" is the spanish way of treating pilipinos an an "indio" or slave. As of now,,they are still teaching "mano" their children,,,what a stupid race.
