Thank you so much for looking at that. I wanted an expert opinion. My guess too was that he uses an electric heating cable though at first I guessed the water itself was heated. One point about his system is that he only puts in thoroughly composted materials - which I guess is ok if you are producing strictly casing. I want to improve on my compost.

What do you make of the VermiGuard system in Europe? Its temperature controlled to 20 C. Somehow he claims the worms and cocoons don't drop out. The castings come out dry. I guess he has humidity controllers too.
Your bins look pretty good too.

@DrakeDorosh I found once these reach the right depth,the worms and cocoons stop coming out the bottom.You just don't want to overharvest them.The main thing is to keep them open,and let light get under them.Moisture makes worms crawl out the top and the bottom if you close them up in winter. They have a real nice set up. I wondered what that heat cable does,once it goes inside the bin.I could not tell.I guess it is mainly in the middle.
