Sometimes do to space, the fire department has to place engine co. on tracks and around. Fire departments with railroads going through the town have radios to communicate with the railroad so that they can act safely together. in 2004, the fire department had no contact with the railroad, but as it turns out, the engineer had been texting 20 seconds before he hit and was over the speed limit.

I am impressed with the firemen how quickly they put the fire out,I wonder of they were using compressed foam? Great action video!

We have no radio to communicate with trains. I am in Indiana and we have to call CSX in Florida. Alot of fires we have are caused by railroad maintenance. Nothing like putting out there tracks and having a train come though doing 60 MPH. After they tell us they have shut down the line.
We were told by CSX to call and they will send a crew out to place the lines under the rails between the ties if we need a hose to cross the tracks.
is that turkeytowns brush in front of the house?

@XxrotorayxX YES! I believe it was! My son volunteered at Turkeytown when he was younger. I never picked up on that. Thanks, and thanks for watching...
