  • Sawatdee! Simple and effective. Thanks for sharing! How about a set-up for a southpaw high kick vs orthodox?

  • @SouthpawJonJon If you google our blog for Southpaw techniques we have a couple of moves up there. They work for Southpaws as well as against them. We have a total of 15 techniques are set ups available in our members only area.

  • Lol what's this crap?!

  • lessons from kermit the frog stand in, love it!

  • Most mma fighters throw overhand rights rather than straight rights so when they say circling into the power hand it applies especially for that. I'd never try this to a Hendo, but it still should work in a fight as the head should move back far enough that they don't reach you. It's actually a brilliant setup if you can master it

  • @ruebuscm Did I mention this guy is a master fighter from a line of Chinese fighters, trained since age 4. I've got my own side-kick, caught his side kick, swept, which he single leg jumped over but he wasn't able to duck my knees or power hooks. Parrying his side-kick is fruitless b/c his balance is so strong. He just re-cocks and crushes me. I'll try to video our sparring. The good news is we fight 15-20 mins straight, no rounds, knock the hell out of each other, come up laughing.

  • @FightPhysics Try to parry or catch the kick. You catch a side kick in front of your body and you've got a few sweeps just waiting for you. :) If you parry and your quick with your legs you can probably get a kick of your own off while he's off balance from his kick being thrown aside. I love sidekicks. Learn to use 'em, too!

  • Great Video as always. I've been sparing with an extremely good fighter (reg stance) with cannon side kick that comes up from the floor. He's strong/balance/trained perfection. I (southpaw) check the kick w/ my lead leg but he's so fast, no opening for counter. I turn my body, check it to the side, his balance is so good, he re-cocks and -re-fires. Leading w/ punches is futile b/c his kicks keep me (74" reach) out of range. Suggestions? Signed, tired of footprints on my nice white t-shirts :)

  • Question, could this be used to set up say.. a spleen shot, or maybe a leg kick? Or, how would this look if you wanted to switch kick the liver, and they throw a right hand?

  • Cool! very usefull
