On Sept 29, 2009, Dylan Ratigan on MSNBC's Morning Meeting interviewed Scott Ritter about Iran's nuclear site.

Scott Ritter was the former Chief United Nations Weapons Inspector.

He was the chief weapons inspector in Iraq.

He is author of the book "Target Iran".

"The nuclear facility has been declared by Iran."

"There is no diversion of nuclear material."

"There is no operational activity taking place."

"And it will be fully inspected by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors."

"There is no revelation here."

"It's not about Iran's nuclear program."

"It is being used by certain elements to say they were doing something in secret. We can't trust them."

"But it's not about Iran's nuclear program. It's about the theocracy in Tehran, and the United States has deemed the Iranian form of Islamic Republic to be incompatible with out goals and visions of what Middle East look like."

"Israel has made repeated threats to bomb Iran."

Is it counterproductive [for the US and Israel to make these threats?]"

"Yes. This is something that will be resolved by diplomacy, not by force of arms."

@Ahamster1 Israel forced Palestinians off their land when they took control. When the Ottoman empire controlled the holy land, arabs lived in relative peace. At no point did the arabs force jews off the land. Only the extreme radicals are against jews living in the holy land. Most supporters of palestine are against a jewish state that continues to oppress the Palestinians according to international law.

@noaid2israel um but Israel hasn't used any of its nuclear arms as a first strike weapon.....plus the fact that the Jews have been persecuted for thousands of years, and that they're still persecuted, fighting for their homeland.

I think Iran just has a crazy leader, the people there are fine. The overall goal is to maintain peace, and presently Iran is the one threatening to escalate violence an already conflict-ridden region
