The BNP has permanently drawn a smile on the face of all anti-racists in the UK. Nick Griffin was standing in the election for Barking. Confident his party would win, the whole garrison showed up expecting a great win; however, things didn't go to plan...

The reason Britain went to war was because one of the biggest fascist uprisings (fascist - like the BNP) was threatening to take over Britain; not to keep 'Britain' British AT ALL.

Basically, you're just saying that you want Britain to stay why because you're scared of people with different coloured skin? Grow up, you little child and lose the 'we were here first' attitude - how childish.

  • i just read someone's comment which described "decent BNP members". I actually laughed out loud at that one. Scum in denial. 786 guy - i'll laugh along with you. hahahahahahaha!

  • @MrSovetski I agree completely. Fascism wasn't just in Italy and Germany, but actually took over a lot of Europe before and during the war( not to say it was without Nazi help). But it wasn't until the tides turned in the war on the Eastern front that most fascist governments began to side with the USSR and Western Allies. Otherwise fascism was very popular in a post-WW1/Great Depression world and the war effort did nothing but crush it.

  • Nick Griffin came virtually level-pegging with the Tory candidate, plus also saw Tory seats be wiped out along with his own in the council. The people in Barking didn't 'dump fascism', merely dropping absolutely anyone other than Labour.

With hindsight it's easy to criticise Griffin, yet who could have forsaw EVERY Labour seat being won by them, including the MP?

And incidentally, it's rich for Margaret Hodge to go on about political extremism, when she was a hardcore communist!
