Talmage McLaurin, AIFD, demonstrates how to make a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses with a pearl-covered handle. See the design in the March issue of Florists' Review magazine. And see other design ideas in our bookstore at http://www.floristsreview.com/main/bookstorealpha.html.

  • calbear1313, that is a good question because this is a very real concern. Hand-tied bouquets with bare stems may very well stain fabrics. As far as we know, the only sure way to keep stems from staining is to cover them--with ribbon or a fabric cover, such as a posy holder. Hope that helps.

  • or try the floristry standed and ribbion to the bottom then back up because your (Talmage) ribbon wraping does not meet industry criteria and would fail in any industry assessment

  • Looks great. My question would be how do you avoid getting green stains from the exposed stems at the bottom on the bride's dress?

All your ideas are great !

    thanks
