I'm doing it right now and that is how I came upon this video. My two fell with the big limb they were in during a storm here today in TN. I have them in a box with old tshirts for warmth. They look to be about 5 weeks old. So I have did my research on what to feed them etc. And to that commenter below, the world is over populated with people too, does that mean you let them starve to death?

You are wonderful people. Don't listen to insensitive idiots! They were out on your path for a reason and you stepped up to the plate! Job well done:)

This is cute and all, but squirrels are literally wild rodents and do not belong in the home... let alone be handled by human hands. That's why you got bitten. That sound they make is a defensive response. Clearly, you guys don't know what you're doing.
Squirrels are not an endangered species. You don't need to be saviors of the world by becoming foster parents. Let them be and nature will take its course.

cute cute cute cute cute!
They are VERY MUCH into smell rather than visual. Stanley was a cpiple months old before I fed him any "food" per say. His first "crunchy" thing was a Cheerio, his little hands coild barely hold it. Wish you were closer... I have BIG nice cage that my husband built so they can run and climb all over in. Have fun!!! let me know if you have any questions, I'll try to answer them.

When I had my babies, I would wrap them up in a wash cloth so they were all snug and curled up when I fed them. As they get older.. I had one for over 2 years.. his name was Stanley. I would take him outside and let him climb the fir trees and dig in the ground etc. when he was done, he would come down and climb up me like a tree and sit on my shoulder. He got VERY protective though and ended up not liking anyone near him but me. Male testosterone thing (I think)

Hello Netmoney, How neat!! Not that they fell out of their nest, but that you get to feed them. It is a long drawn out process so PLEASE stick with it. They are very fragile. Use Puppy Formula, I have the powder. You can get som really good feeding bottles at the Feed stores and or Pets Mart. The ones Wal*Mart had, the nipples were too pointy and they weren't natural liket the mothers nipples. I warmed the milk just a tiny bit...test on wrist so it is not too warm.
