The boom will end one day and hopefully filter out all shit that moved here for money. They ruined this country. The Dunes, the rivers, lakes and country side. All fucked up now.

@rhynoceros I just moved here, and so far I'm loving it.
It's a clean city with pleasant people.
As for the wannabes and preps, you must be talking about people in your age group; 17 year olds.

I remember that year.... one of those storms cost us a basement and most of our stuff. Got screwed over by insurance also..... why the hell did I decide to remind myself of that year??? oh well.

I am really sorry that all the time you spent here was with crackheads and teenagers who drank to much.
I happen to know a lot of beautiful, intelligent people from GP that live here still.
Most people who are here are not from here (like you) and don't care enough not to litter, and have never been 10 mintues out of town to enjoy the beauty that surrounds us Grande Prairians every day.
I'm sorry you missed out but YOU did not try hard enough.
