I have my lesson today! Its fun! I ride alot of different horses. I'll get some videos up ASAP!

You ride with Wendy Lynn Arabians. I live here in scottsdale and trained with her for a while. While my dad was in Iraq. I had to find a different trainer cause I couldn't afford her lessons anymore :( I miss her so much

You def. look like a hunter rider in a saddle seat saddle. Don't worry though that it what people say about me when I ride my leasing horse because I do and have been doing saddle seat lessons for 9 years. You need to not grip the saddle with your calf. Grip with your knee, and keep your lower leg away from the saddle. Raise you hands, have a more curve in your back, and try to show the crowd the bottom of your boot! Check out my videos for more! Hopefully I will have my saddlebred outside soon!

this video is super helpful! my high school eq team coach is putting me in saddleseat at our meets this fall and I'm trying to learn as much about it as I can. You look awesome, and same with your horse! :)

Is it scary galloping a horse and then jumping? Don't mind me I've only ever ridden Western but hope to try Jumping soon.

Lovely horse. I kind of miss saddle seat. I think being cross-trained is great. While I had my horses, I tried to learn as much as possible - huntseat, saddleseat, western, showmanship, bareback... versatility is great! :) If I can ever get back into the horse world again, I hope to keep on learning. Good for you! :)

Very good. But i think your shoulders could come back more. Try sticking your chest out. It helps bring your shoulders back and it works. I did it in lessons on a mare named Jam and it worked like a charm and we began to flow a bit.

Thank you i totaly forgot to mention about postuer thank you
=] Nice.
Your shoulders should probably come back more.
And knees one your saddle, pointing straight.
I'm curious, why are your hands far apart?
I don't know anything about riding Arabians since I ride Saddlebreds but she sure is a good looking horse. =] Don't you just love saddle seat!!!

Thanks for the tips. I've gotten a TON better since that lesson.
As for my hands being so far apart, it was probably because I was getting used to having my hands so high.
Thanks, she's a sweet mare. =)
Saddle seat IS awesome! x]

wait but why were you taking a saddle-seat lesson if you ride huntseat? o.o Are you switching? Trying to learn both? I mean, you did great for your 3rd lesson but lol, why are you taking them?

I still ride huntseat sometimes (like, I exericise horses for my trainer every now and then in huntseat) but I switched over because I wanted to try something new. Plus, my huntseat horse left our barn and my trainer's saddle seat horse from new york came here, so I decided to try it and it's tons of fun.
