  • The Subaru had a whole bunch of tow points on it, 2 on the front, one on the back. They came in handy quite often!

  • pw0ned by the Subaru! :-)

  • F1-shitty. POS FORD! Japanese engineering for the win. Sad really, how heavy, unsafe, slow, useless and miserable those F150s are. Least safe production vehicle sold in the USA is not a very good title.

  • @DerangedRover86, sure, I agree with your point too. you get what I'm saying, though, that the brand/model of the car is far less significant than all the factors you and I listed...

  • @mardamek1 Can also come down to how the car is set up. I wager a decent set of mud-terrain tyres and a mild 2-4" lift would've made a world of difference for the Effie, as well as a front locker. :)

  • I think people tend to favor one car over another and act amazed as to how a subaru could pull a Ford or how embarrassing it should be for Ford to be stuck and be pulled by a Subaru. However, it has to do with who's where. I mean the Subaru could be in the mud, and it would be stuck too. So, then if the Ford was on the dry (where the Subary was), he would just as well pull out the Subaru. So, really it's all about being in the right place, and to a lesser extent the type of car you drive.

  • Subaru's do kick ass and are great cars, but so are ford trucks, and to be fair the subrau would have been stuck too. The difference is the will Ford came out in one piece. The legacy would have been up to its doors in the mud pit. You would most likely tear the body apart trying to tow it out

  • Ha ha 2l lightweight subaru pulls 6l heavy mammuth out of the dirt.

    What a shame!

  • Looks like my car...I own the same Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT w/ same grey color too...just put in new Six Star (the best for Subaru) head gaskets due to overheating but I LOVE MY SUBARU for the AWD baby!!!...I feel safe and secure in my little beast in any weather or terrain

  • You don't see that very often! I used to have a 1998 Toyota Camry, I have a video of it on my profile. I had a set of Firestone Town & Country Snow/Mud tires on the front, during the winter time I used it to pull out a Suzuki XR-7 that had gotten stuck sideways in his driveway. That lil car was a TANK!

  • Of course the Subaru could pull it out. Though it is impressive I must say lol... What was that guy doing getting a stock F-150 in that swamp, try the concrete next time lol.

  • @dodgyplonk I honestly don't see it as embarrassing. If that Subaru was in that mud it would've been worse off than that truck due to lack of ground clearance. It probably would have even taken some damage to the undercarriage when it got towed out. I would personally just go with impressive. I'm surprised that Subie had enough torque to pull it out.
