@triumphdollysprint I think they may have discontinued it for now. I'm not sure if I even have the original zip lying around, but I probably don't. Sorry :(
Most of the differences are with graphics, but it's kind of incomplete when it comes to the night settings. One plus is that you can set the visibility sliders higher without having to go into the system file. Also, you can play lite tracks from evo1 using the original evo1 physics.
The mod is still in beta, and there's kind of an indefinite hiatus on it right now.

i've been trying for a while to find the revolution patch/mod for it but all the links seem to be broken and stuff like that.

i used to play this game. all the time and then i lost the disk and re-formatted my comp and now i cant find it ANYWHERE!!!! where can i find it

Google search for a free download of 4x4 evo 2, the developers (Terminal Reality) made it officially free for distribution some time ago.
