The Prodigal Son

The perennial tale of the involution and evolution of Spirit in Matter.

A son demands his share of the inheritance only to go off and squander it in wild and reckless living. Losing all of his wealth and resources and finding himself alone in a strange land racked with famine, his only option was to hire himself out as a day laborer.

Working on a pig farm and starving to death with no one to help him, he finally came to his senses and chose to return to his father. Full of shame and regret, he set off in the direction of his home. Before he even reached his destination, his father spotted him and ran toward him in a loving embrace. Instead of wrath and punishment, the son was greeted with opulence and celebration. Death had been vanquished by life, impoverishment with abundance.
