  • Thinking of getting my husband one for Christmas, just having a hard time committing since I have never actually seen one. Thanks for the review!

  • I purchased this from REI for $300, it was on sale from $500. This is by far a great trainer and built tough. If you can't make it out to ride, this is your best alternative. Excellent for weight loss for moms who stay home and need to be around their baby. You can't make up an excuse for not exercising if you get one of these. I love it and I am so happy I went with Kinetic. On a side note, there are different models. Mine is a step up from this one. I am sure anyone will be a great buy.

  • To replicate the feel of a level road, you pretty much need a flywheel that stores roughly the same kinetic energy for the speed as you and your bike, and resistance proportional to the square of your speed. (Power proportional to the cube of your speed)

  • Awesome review...keep it up Graeme and Danno. This is good stuff. As all the stuff you guys do. No B.S. all human.

  • @steven98came It will wear it out...but you won't get a flat like on the road!

  • can it damaged the rear tire?

  • absoloutely yep yep yep shut the fuck up

  • Excellent review series! You have saved me a lot of research time. As a first time buyer I needed to know the basics, i.e. fan vs mag vs fluid and what do you really get for more money.

  • How are these for wear and tear on the bike. are these static models better on a carbon fibre frame or worse or no different than the rock and roll model?
