  • @MottTheWot Agree with you on all fronts here. I think a pairing of Chrome Sitar with Calling All Destroyers for Futuristic Dragon would have been brilliant.

  • Both Solid Baby and Thinc Zinc shouldv'e been hit singles, i also like Calling All Destroyers from this period as well. He missed Visconti's production, but the songs were still good. Marc Bolan was a rock n roller, 1974 and 75 saw him desperately trying to crack America and pandering to a US audience that simply wasn't interested in a second wave of British Pop. It was their loss, Bolan returned to the UK, gave us Dandy and was ready to work with Visconti again. 1978 would've been big 4 him.

  • FFFFAAAAAAVVVVVEEEEEE TREX track!!!!!! Brilliant!!!!!!!!

  • Love this tune!!

  • I agree with DAVWAVE.

Did Mickey leave because of her?

  • @dreamklf -- What you are saying is represented by thousands of T-Rex fans who dropped off. Add to that the thousands who he did not gain. Gloria was a cancer to his career, without a doubt. And as for being a good singer. I do not enjoy off keey singing. I saw Bolan live with Gloria and she was a train wreck...

  • DYNAMITE VIDEO ! love SOLID BABY !

  • Great vid! Nice job.

  • Come on give the 'young' guy a break. I remember when the album came out...I had ordered it weeks in advance and I loved it (aged17). I thought Bolan had lost a lot of his 'poetry' and was struggling lyrically but musically he was well ahead of the game with his 'pop -soul' sound and the album was much under-rated.

  • I know it's along time since you posted this but just wanted to say how much I love "Solid Baby" on it's own and as part of "Zip Gun Boogie"
