This is the same sort of driver I had on the 157s... 9759
He was using Kickdown in the Anerley area and down the Morden area... He didnt even lift of the accelerator on the curve when approaching the station

god those tappets are awful! Never heard a trident quite so bad!

how theyre meant to be driven. Hellish tappets too, sounds like the seat panels were removed!

All of the V3xx KGW Tridents have the same engine tone as this one, albeit not overrevving. I've added some video responses above - the first with a similarish engine tone and overrevving in the gears 1/2 only, the second an overrevving First Trident whose gears sound just like this one, but with the most common softer Trident engine tone. The third is the same bus as in this video, but having been repaired to rev normally.

Sounds like it's more to do with the gearbox than the driving... but hey, he's got more patience than I would have with it!
