The pre-history of "Street Smarts" and a weird bit of television history...It's the NBC game show "I'll Bet." It went off the air for a few years and returned in syndication as "It's Your Bet," hosted by Jack's brother Tom Kennedy.

  • Is the announcer Roy Whaley, who did 'Crusader Rabbit'?

  • @wmbrown6 Pop quiz-Who was Mr. Long related to be marriage?

(Take a trip up to New York State's Chautauqua (sp) County).

  • Quite funny, even by today's standards ;-)

  • Thank you for posting this...one of my earliest memories is of watching "I'll Bet" (which I called "The Betting Game") after Jeopardy! and a show that I remembered had Jan Murray on it. (Though my research tells me the show between "Jeopardy!" at 11:30 and "I'll Bet" was "Call My Bluff", not hosted by Jan Murray.... perhaps Jan Murray was a regular.

  • The other half of the "Mr. and Mrs. Long" couple would obviously be Mara Corday.

  • RIP "Mrs. Crank"/Beverly Garland also

  • I recognize them now. Could they have been any more low key about identifying them without making them wear disguise? Why didn't they post their full names?

  • That's because they're celebrities.

  • It is almost like It's Your Bet.

  • RIP Jack Narz
