At approximately 2:00 AM on January 22. 2009, things looked like they were boiling over as a minor group of unruly protesters (amidst the huge group of peaceful ones) started gathering bricks from the sidewalk and throwing them at the riot squad. Fortunately sense reigned supreme, as a crowd of peaceful protesters formed a human shield in front of the police, called for silence and asked for the protest to be kept peaceful.
