The robotic aicraft shown on the video is designed by Siam UAV Industries, a Skilligent partner. Its flight control software is based on Skilligent Control System Framework, a programming framework designed for mission-critical low-latency applications. A ground control station (GCS) consists of a laptop, a radio modem and a USB joystick console. The USB joystick console is an off-the-shelf game console built for use with a flight simulator. In this case the joystick console is used for controlling a real aircraft. Skilligent Operator Control Unit (OCU) software runs on the laptop, displays telemetry information and transmits commands to the vehicle.

  • @vanepico its not a transmitter at all, its a joystick that mimics a transmitter, you use what you have, you use what comfortable, i have over 300 hour on that sim and would use the controller for other games as well.

  • realflight i have that controler thats so cool

  • Fantastic! Also, great soundtrack!

  • hes no interfacing it through the simulator. hes simply running it through a computer, probably through the skilligent software to a direct uplink to the plane.

  • That looks like my wild hawk

  • Why not control it by a real RC transmitter rather than an interface from an RC simulator?

  • where would i be able to purchase 1 of these.

  • would of been nice to see some video from the air mate

  • Do you planning to market this hand launched mini UAV & its guidance software at a low cost? Bcoz I'm planning to use this system in a business to take high quility digital video/ aerial still photography at a lower cost than big size aircraft.
