I disagree with Barbara that Wright advances ANY kind of bigoted agenda. Joyce is correct that Wright was referring to the ancient Roman empire which was extremely violent, hateful, and dictatorial -- it was an oppressive, slavery based colonialist empire which brutally & violently oppressed it's own citizens- it killed JESUS! It is amazing that Barbara takes Wright's views (which actually condemn racism) completely out of context. Listen to Wright's FULL interview w/Bill Moyer for the TRUTH

Limbaugh's not getting a free pass, but Obama is. If he weren't black, he'd be nothing more than a rookie senator or representative. He's accomplished NOTHING in his professional life to recommend him to the Presidency. On the contrary, his cloudy checkered past is rife with questions--missing birth certificate, Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers. Like Noam Chomsky said, he's a template upon which people can attach their political fantasies. Obama's the ultimate Equal Opportunity recipient!
