Learn three sevillanas from the book 'El arte flamenco de la guitarra' by juan martin!

In this lesson it's mainly techniques we have already learned, so you should fly through this one! getting up to the correct speed may take longer though ;-)

I re-recorded some of this since my friend Andy's camera work wasn't up to scratch - you'll see why at the end of the video! :-P

next lesson: learn tremolo with a falseta for soleares! :-) any questions on this lesson? drop me a message :-)

  • can you write them in here please? =P

  • sorry man i havent got tabs, but if you work through the lessons in order it makes a lot more sense!

  • @delboy1978uk I seriously think tabs are the least important part of learning Flamenco. If you master the rythmn, you can ad-lib as it were and get away with it as long as you hold the rythmn (did I spell rythmn wrong? is it rythm, rythum or wank? Oh well whatever)

  • @Simonthestud i totally agree! thats why its taking me so long! i dont like working from books!

i didnt realise that i didnt mention the golpes, sorry! but u should pick them up watching the video along with checking the book :-)

if you get too stuck then mail me i will try to help :-)

    Derek

  • Great lesson. I find the book jumps into sevillanas too quickly for me, so your video helps a lot. I almost missed your golpes because you didn't mention them, when is it you do them?

Anyway, great vid. Nice to see a good flamenco lesson around here.
