I'm so lucky to own this on CD....had to import it, cost me a fortune, but the one of the best antidotes to all the crap that fills the airwaves out there. Bless you, Messr's Bruford Holdsworth, Jobson and Wetton.
A heartbreaking piece played with raw emotion coupled with the technical fireworks to really back it up and put it out there into the stratosphere where all the beautiful lost music goes. Maybe someone very far away is listening to this. If so they chose well.
I was fortunate to see them perform this album live. 1978 at the Orpheum in Boston. One of the best shows I've ever been to. I have seen Bruford and Holdsworth in different configurations since that time, but they were at their finest with UK that night.
Holdsworth pisses me off by saying that he's no good on acoustic. Oh really now?

Holdsworth's whole outro lead to this is so perfect. It just doesn't get any better than that.

And, by the way, as much as I love this tune and band, I wouldn't categorize any of it as old time jazz fusion.

What happens to the one prog band that doesn't invite derision?

Definitely the best track off the disc...and that opening guitar solo, testimony to Holdsworth's genius.
